Sorry about that. Missed this thread. I believe this problem was fixed a while back and we can no longer reproduce.

BTW, I also tried running Firefox in Safe Mode, disabling all extensions, but the bug was still there.

@Bruno - Try Ctrl+A and then typing what you want to type in. I found this worked for the display name field on the website's signup, which also was unable to backspace. Either way, it's a terrible hack, and something like this should have been fixed 3 months later, let alone left without a single response from the developer team. The rest of the issues in this bug report section point to the same ghost town problem, which is highly worrying - after spending a while searching out a decent service for code snippets, I've really gotten high hopes for Cacher what with how polished it looks and feels.

Now it's worryingly starting to look like in a year's time it'll be just another failed SaaS startup that I'll have to search out an alternative for. It seems like all the main developer's insistence on Reddit about needing to discontinue Gistbox and make Cacher a subscription-based tool for the purpose of "creating a better product" were just PR. Checking the same account out, it seems he's still perplexingly trying to drum up more users, even while serious, long-standing bugs for current users go unsorted and unresolved. Really hope this situation turns around, cause I desperately want to be able to keep using Cacher and doing so for a long time.

Thanks for your tip and your comment, these are my thoughts too. I love Cacher, but if they don't care about their bugs and their customers (and I'm a *paying* customer) it's time to look for alternatives.
