Open source VS Code extension

Hello.

It would be nice to make the VS Code extension Open source as Sublime and Atom.

I would like to extend it, so I can provide inline snippet autocompletion using Cacher snippets, based on labels, for example.

Or at least, if you can say where the VS Code caches the snippets. I guess It don't do a request to Cacher API each time. I do a search as it is very fast.
